The experience in the environmental recovery together with the will to always take care of its decorative as well as the technical and functional aspect, is the starting point to elaborate new ideas and support the requirements of the consigner and the design plans.

Merletti garden design extends this way the concept of landscape and of garden, makes it also indoor, thinks about new applications by using vegetation, water and engineering structures in the lead.

The step towards the “vertical garden” is short.
The tests carried out to deepen the subject have involved several professional skills with the aim to grant a good result: choice of the most suitable vegetal essences and of the most suitable composition of cultivation substratum, study of the irrigation system, conceiving of a bearing structure. The actual application of these concepts turns into the installation of a modular structure composed in such a way as to be a real and thorough vegetal wall. The basic module is a parallelepiped having a thickness of only a few centimetres made of hot zinced electro-welded wire net being internally coated by a perspiring “non tissue”. This has the function to keep back the humidity and contain the special lightened soil inside the structure.

The meshes of the wire net are the natural housing for the most diversified evergreen vegetal essences, climbing plants, falling plants and covering plants. The rooting of the plants will consolidate the whole work and their development will completely cover structure at the back. All is completed by an automatic drop-by-drop micro-irrigation system to keep the humidity necessary to the plants life, uniformly along the whole length of the wall.

As to facilitate the irrigation it is possible to install a Toro™ programmer with gprs kit for the remote control through internet. The maintenance in the time provides simple pruning interventions, as well as manuring and phyto-sanitary treatment of the vegetation.
